What is the Open Experience Expert Forum?

The Expert Forum ("Forum Digitale Transformation") is an event and publication series that Open Experience has organized since 2017. It brings together researchers, developers, and practitioners who drive digital transformation in construction operations with new ideas and technologies — with talks from research and practice, a digital edition, and printed conference proceedings for each event (ISSN 2512-8108). Two trends shape the series: the practical use of artificial intelligence methods and the successes of Building Information Modelling.

What awaits you at the Forum

Three roles in one day — listener, learner, co-creator.

Experience

live from the field how digitalization is already changing the construction site today.

Learn

from vendors and researchers what is already being prepared for tomorrow.

Shape

the future and perspective of the construction site yourself in the discussion.

Two trends shape digital transformation in construction

Both have long proven themselves in other industries — and offer the biggest levers for efficiency and cost in construction.

  • Artificial intelligence in practiceNot as a buzzword, but as methods that measurably save time and reduce errors in construction execution.
  • Building Information ModellingThe successes of the concept, carried over to the construction phase and documentation — where the model becomes everyday practice.

Format: an event series with talks from research and practice, extended by a digital edition and a print edition as conference proceedings.

The conference proceedings

"Digitale Transformation" series, ISSN 2512-8108, Karlsruhe. Each issue can be expanded — with cover and full table of contents. Order at forum@openexperience.de.
