Platform and products
What does Open Experience do?
Open Experience is the platform for the construction phase: software for defect management, construction documentation, site diary, checklists, and schedule tracking — plus our own construction site hardware such as the DIGIBAU 360 helmet camera with 360° capture. Developed and hosted in Germany, since 2009.
Who is the platform for?
For everyone responsible for construction execution: site managers at general contractors, project managers, architects, and specialist planners in site supervision (service phase 8 of the German HOAI, "Leistungsphase 8"), the housing industry, and contractors.
Can I use modules individually?
Yes — every product works on its own; the full benefit comes from using them together: one project, one data base, no duplicate entry.
What sets OX apart from PlanRadar, Capmo, or Dalux?
Specialization in the construction phase instead of "a bit of everything" — and our own hardware ecosystem: no other vendor in the competitive field delivers software and its own construction site hardware from a single source. Honest comparisons can be found under "Knowledge".
What is DIGIBAU 360?
The 360° helmet camera system for construction documentation — a world first developed in-house: walk the site, select your position in the plan, trigger the capture; afterwards, navigate virtually through the construction site in space and time.
Working with the platform
Does it work on mobile and offline?
Yes — apps for Apple and Android tablets and smartphones plus a browser version (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and others), with an offline mode for the relevant areas.
Can several parties work at the same time?
Yes — all project participants work in parallel in the same project, with role-based permissions.
What does subcontractor participation cost?
Nothing — contractor accounts for defect processing, completion reports (with proof photos), and daily reports are free of charge, via app or browser.
How quickly can we get started?
A project is set up in minutes; we accompany the rollout personally.
What AI is built into the platform?
AI from our own research (BMBF project ESKIMO): automatic defect detection via image recognition, pixelation of people (DIGISCHUTZ), recognition of construction objects, and AI progress checking — exclusively with your project data.
Pricing and getting started
What does Open Experience cost?
Three packages: Trial (one-time €395 for four weeks), Standard with Construction Defects and Construction Photos for €58 per user per month, and Premium with Construction Checklists, Construction Diary, and warranty tracking on top for €99 per user per month — list price for ten licenses and a twelve-month term, net plus VAT. There is also a one-time setup fee that scales with the number of users. All terms up to ten licenses are publicly available on the pricing page, including a calculator.
Is there a free trial?
No — instead, there is the trial package for a one-time €395: four weeks on your real project, set up by us, with training; the amount is credited if you continue. If you just want to look, there is the personal 45-minute demo — free of charge and without sales pressure.
Are there limits on plans, photos, or items?
No — no fees per plan or model, no limits on images or items.
How does the demo work?
45 minutes, online, on your project, without sales pressure — bookable directly in the calendar.
Security and legal
Where is my data stored?
Servers located in Germany, GDPR-compliant processing, daily backups — developed and hosted in Germany.
Does the documentation hold up as evidence?
Complete, timestamped, and traceable — the foundation that courts and experts expect.
What happens to people in photos?
DIGISCHUTZ automatically detects and pixelates people and faces — directly in the system.
Who owns my project data?
You do — with export options beyond the end of the project.
