How do Cordulus and Open Experience complement each other?
Cordulus builds weather stations for construction sites and supplies historical measurements as well as site-specific forecasts. As our weather partner, Cordulus is behind the Premium tier of Construction Weather, the weather offering from Open Experience. In OX, you choose which stations and values feed into your daily construction reports. This documents conditions at the project location rather than the region's general weather.
Two tiers, one construction diary
Both tiers measure the same variables and write them into your daily reports. They differ in where you read the values and whether a forecast comes with them.
Construction Weather Standard
A compact station with an indoor display: current values hang in the site office while the measurements also flow into Construction Diary. The entry point for projects that mainly need a documented weather line in the daily report.
Construction Weather Premium
The Cordulus station on a mast, plus the weather app with a forecast for the location and identified bad-weather days. For projects that want to plan ahead, not only document.
What each tier includes
The measured variables are identical in both tiers — the difference lies in the on-site display and in the forecast.

You define which stations and values appear in the daily report in the Construction Diary settings.
What the Cordulus forecast adds
The Premium tier does not only measure, it also projects ahead — for exactly the point where your station stands, not for the nearest major city.
- Hyperlocal instead of regionalThe forecast refers to the location of your station. Across several sites, this keeps conditions distinguishable instead of averaging them over a region.
- AI-supported forecastingCordulus combines established weather models with its own post-processing and states a 48 % reduction in forecast error compared with the underlying models (provider's figure, source below).
- Lead time for critical workConcrete pours, crane work and scaffolding depend on wind, frost and rainfall. Seeing the development early means rescheduling instead of losing a day.
- App, interface and data exportThe values are available in the Cordulus app, through an interface and as an export — the basis on which Construction Weather transfers them into your project environment.
A forecast is an estimate, not evidence. For documenting weather after the fact, only the station's historical measurements count.

Connect documented weather conditions with daily reports, photos and details of affected work. This makes it easier to reconstruct the conditions your team worked in.
Weather data alone does not establish entitlement to an extension of time or payment. Relevant factors include the contract, specific effects on construction progress and required notices.

What is the difference between Construction Weather Standard and Premium?
Both tiers measure temperature, precipitation, wind, humidity and air pressure and pass the values to Construction Diary. Standard also shows the current values on a display in the site office. Premium works with the Cordulus station and adds a site-specific weather forecast as well as identified bad-weather days.
Are measurements and weather forecasts the same thing?
No. The station measures conditions that actually occurred at the location. A forecast estimates future conditions. Historical measurements are the relevant basis for documenting past weather.
Do measurements enter the construction diary automatically?
Yes. Construction Weather feeds the data into Construction Diary's daily reports. The stations are connected to your OX project environment and the required values are selected.
What does the figure of 48 percent refer to?
Cordulus states a 48 percent reduction in forecast error for its AI-supported forecast compared with the underlying weather models. This is the provider's own figure; we report it as such and point to the source.
What do the weather station and OX connection cost?
The station and weather service are offered through the partner; the scope of OX integration depends on the package. We clarify hardware, weather service and OX services separately to suit your project.
